Welcome to Matafonua Lodge!

This newly constructed, Pacific-style resort is situated right on the spectacular Northern tip of Foa Island with a beautiful white sandy beach on one side and rock pools to explore on the other.

The 10 Tongan-style fales (6 twin/double & 4 family) all have covered terraces, electricity, hot-points and very comfortable bedding with mosquito nets and wardrobe/shelves. Linen and towels (including beach towels) are supplied. The separate male & female ablution block (with hot showers) is a short walk from all fales.

Enjoy freshly baked delights from the onsite licensed café whilst overlooking the stunning, ever-changing spectrum of blues across the channel between Foa and Nukunamo Islands.

With your fale only a few steps from crystal clear waters and a 2 minute walk to Oceanblue Adventures - Ha’apai Divers (www.tonga-dive.com / info@tonga-dive.com), this property offers an absolute paradise for those who enjoy diving, sailing, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling and kite-surfing.

Kayaks (sit-on-tops) and bicycles are available to guests for a very minimal hireage.
